Off The Grid was... well, off the grid.

The timeline confuzzled me a bit.

At the SGC, SG1 was 2 hours late from designated check-in, SGC did a diagnostic and found the problem was with the other gate and called on the new ship for help(so snazzy btw). New ship captain indicates that a pickup could be done within a day.

And two days later... *blinks*

Two days torture and what? No broken fingers? ;)

Combine that with the "torture" from Ethon, and well - not to sound so vulgar, but... the writers and/or directors are pussies. *snort* (I'm kidding... honest.)

The show has a 14+ rating, they should do something with it. *nods*

I did love this episode though. It was funny, off the beat, a bit over done character wise I think, but can be explained by the team just having an "off" day.

Calling Sam "Mary Poppins" was pure gold in my book, lol.

And trying to figure out who could act more like a drug dealer? That was so surreal. But did anyone else argue with their tv/computer that Jack could have easily pulled it off?

What freaked me out was the whole tagging SG1 bit. And they were the first to get tagged? Willingly?

That wasn't big brother scary, that was self-righteous, religiously-freaky, old great uncle scary. Unless they're capable of removing this technology on a daily basis (ie. for when they're not on duty), the implications of someone knowing where they are at all times is probably the most morally-scary thing they've done in a while.

Jello wrestling anyone? Gone fishing?

I won't be able to read a post-OTG fic without thinking, someone's watching, regardless of it being Gen/Slash/Het.

Although it's a very handy idea for the field, the idea of being watched during off hours... and they did this willingly?

And you know something's off when it's Teal'c who agrees with Cameron for a change, lol.

Bulletpoints are our friends *• nods*

• So, Cameron invites Daniel over to his grandma's house for dinner - infront of the General.
• The whole episode was based on the nastiness of food. Food can kill. even apples
• Leather brings out the best of Strike-a-Pose Teal'c (limited edition)
• Sam has that whole "National Jewel" thing gone to her head. Aka, "We're worth more alive."
Don't do drugs. You're all too Goody Two-Shoes to do drugs.
• What in the hell did we need the "Eight Hours Earlier" for? The repeat was completely off the grid unnecessary.
• They were willing?
• Mary Poppins does leather.
• Ba'al!
• Ba'al #1547643 wants to make his own Stargate network. Though if he were a real genius, he'd take over one solar system, screw around with the Sun's gravitational pull so that he could have a dozen planets all with the necessary elements to sustain life (including the right climate). And have each planet within the right distance to use rings to jump from one to the other, instead of Stargates. That way, he could have his playground and no need to worry about the Ori much. *nods*
What? It's just a thought.
• Food on the face is so very unappealling and is so very blasphemous to share the same air time as Ba'al.
• Remind me what the time frame was? *confuzzled*
• Cameron called Jackson for backup while Carter stuck doohickeys onto the Stargates. *lufs*
• Daniel likes his drugs. (Why else would he see the doc at the end?).
• Jack's not there to lick their wounds better, that's why they all got booboos that just won't go away. The last time Daniel had a booboo like that, Jack was stuck in Antartica. *nods*
• It would have been dangerous to feed Damn!Ugly any of that corn, because he was already eating everything in site (to the point of there being a food shortage in CO) and how else would Landry have found Ba'al?
• And then they done sex.
• With people watching.
Willingly?

Heeee! You're too funny. Haven't the brain power to think too much about comments only that YAY Off The Grid was awesome as!

Mary Poppins! I laughed about that well into the second viewing.

Daniel and Cam are SO doin' it. There will be sex doing after for booboo kissage better. And Jack has to come visit and help. Because he's helpful.

Anyhoo, so happy that you thought it was groovy, too, since no one else seems to! Not that I tend to read other people's comments unless they sound like they're going to be happy thoughts. When they have stuff like 'whinging and complaining herewith' and a bitchy moodtheme then I avoid like the proverbial :)

Yes, it's lucky that Jack knows how to share 'cause they are all so doin' it! ;) And now everyone will know this 'cause they're watching. *nods*

*g* It was definitely an ep to take lightly. I can't see this one being anything but an attempt at humor, lol.

*giggles* I try to balance it, lol. Am always curious as to why like/don't like the way things went. *g*

I don't think it was meant as anything else :) Starate's always had their lighter and brighter episodes, its just that season 9, thanks to a certain Aussie-sounding, dark horse sex kitten, there were a few more than normal :D Not complaining here!

In a nasal, Canadian kinda way, yeah :P Of course, in Aussieland he'd be called Wally or Waz.

It was eight hours EARLIER. And it was repeated because the first time, all the audience was distracted by "OMG, Samboobies!!1!"

I agree with you. That kind of stopped me up. "Whoa, wait, implants...?

• (Why else would he see the doc at the end?).

Gee, I dunno, why would the character played by Michael Shanks POSSIBLY run to see the character played by Lexa Doig...? ;-D

• And then they done sex

And then Sam and Teal'c went off to shower together (they walk off in the same direction. And water conservation IS of the upmost importance when it cost a couple billion dollars to turn the lights on ;-D)

The SACRIFICES they suffer through! *salutes them and peeks*

Speaking of peeking... the icon is KIND of (re: very) dark, but I saw this cap and actually thought of you. So I made the icon. If you want it, grab it (but it won't be up long, so... you know... ;-D).

The dinner at grandma's house was so funny. I am more and more liking the the Daniel/Cameron subtext.

I liked the Mary Poppins thing, mostly because I've been called Mary Poppins myself!

This wasn't a well-written ep, but it was at least enjoyable. And there was leather. Yay!

It's sometimes difficult to watch, 'cause I'm willing Daniel to cheat on Jack. ;) What are we to do??

*giggles*

I think Cam is the first on the team to actually "insult" her, lol.

I think it's all in the title, ie "Off the Grid". *snerk* Everything was totally *off* with this ep, but it was still fun to watch. :D Yay, leather!

Right there with you. I kept thinking, "What pussy drug dealers!" ;P We need real whumping. Sheesh.

As I said, "Best conversation ever." And yes, I was also thinking that Jack could have pulled it off in a second. The team at this point is all just a little too clean.

What freaked me out was the whole tagging SG1 bit. And they were the first to get tagged? Willingly?

Y'know, I hadn't considered how freaky that is. I just may have to write a fic about that because you're right—that is freaky.

Apples only kill if you don't know what you're doing. ;)

• Cameron called Jackson for backup while Carter stuck doohickeys onto the Stargates. *lufs*

Cam obviously has deep love respect for Daniel.

Y'know, every episode just makes me want to slash them more and more...

*agrees* It was so far out there, lol.

*dances* That would be totally awesome if you wrote fic about it! I'm having a real tough time picturing it myself, and would love to see your version. *bg*

They should come with instruction manuals.

I SO agree about the torture. They chickened out again, though I suppose this wasn't meant to be a heavy episode. We've seen Teal'c put through the ringer before, and Jack of course, and Daniel got it nicely in Evolution, but they usually don't do much to Sam. They let Fifth "torture" her, but that was all hand-in-the-head stuff, no physical damage and honestly Tapping's acting in those scenes just made me laugh instead of worry for Sam.

I'm so glad to see someone else worrying about those chips. If they're implanted, do you think there's any way of them being removed when not on missions? Or even just switch them off? Otherwise, that bugs me.

Definitely not a heavy episode, but still! lol

That's true. That man does torture so well! *bg*

I would *hope* that the chips were removable at the end of the day, but that would mean constant surgery and the wound would never get a chance to heal, etc. Wonder where they've decided to embed this chip.

I'm completely freaked out at the thought that they've been embedded with a locator permanently.

*Unless* the surgery was done will Asgard beaming technology... and then it could be a per mission occurance instead of permanent. *thinks*
